I chose the market mp3 posted by Andrew Kendell. It was obviously recorded in the market at Pitt so the sounds are quite familiar. You can hear the clinking of forks and spoons on the dishes, multiple people having multiple indistinguishable conversations at different volumes, and people walking by while talking so that their voices get louder then much quieter. In general it sounds like any busy commercial area.

I imagine the sound is from a busy airport. A single business man is sitting at a cafe in the terminal in one of the tables that sit outside in the main walkway. There are people everywhere walking in every direction and every other table is also full of people grabbing a bite to eat just before their flights. He sits there in his suit sipping a black coffee with a half eaten warm croissant sitting on the plate in front of him. He listens to the faint generic music playing from inside the actual cafe while he watches the many different people go by. He watches the people because he’s waiting for his associate who has a connecting flight to this airport so that they can travel together on the next flight. Wow this is really hard to make a 300 word description out of 10 seconds of sound.

Replace Edit Tutorial

With the replace edit command in Adobe Premiere Pro you can quickly and easily replace a clip in your sequence with the one you have selected in your source video window. First, simply load the clip you want to switch in to the source video window. Then line up the playheads in both the source video and editing box windows so that the video switches to the clip in your source window at the desired time. Next select the clip you want to replace in the editors box and click on the clip tab on the toolbar. Scroll down to “replace with clip” and select “from source monitor, match frame”. This will replace all the frames from the position of your playhead to the next cut point with the same amoScreenshot (1) Screenshot (2)unt of frames from your source video starting at the position of the source video playhead.

Video proposal

For my video I want to make a sort of introduction or a sort of showcase for mixed martial arts and other fighting sports in general. As someone who has been involved in martial arts for a very large majority of his life I feel like they are in general both misunderstood and not as popular as they really should be. Fighting and martial arts in general is something I have a lot of respect for and would like to share with everyone. Most people see martial arts as dangerous and fear it but the truth is that practicing it is not limited to lessons about the body and require and very honed intelligence to be able to use as well.

The goal of this video is to get them excited about combat sport so that maybe they will go out and watch it so that maybe someday it can become as popular as basketball or any of the other major sports in the country. It takes a lot of training effort and intelligence to become a fighter and I want other people to see that as well. In my eyes those who fight in the UFC and related circuits are much more deserving of celebration than any other athlete because of the harsh qualifications to become a good fighter.

I plan to use freesound.org to find the majority of my audio as well as blip.tv and ourmedia.org for the majority of my video files. Anything I need that can’t be found there will be taken from archive.org or the much safer option of YouTube.

I don’t plan on using many effects while editing my video other than the standard cut and move functions. I may decide later in the project to use some sort of transitions between scenes and also maybe some touch ups just to change lighting effects and make something look just a little better.
